Lijiang Sceneries
Lijiang, a mystical and beautiful ancient city in the northwest of Yunnan Province, lies between the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and Gold Sand River on the center of Lijang valley, 2410m above sea level.
Lijiang city is well-known for its grandiose Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, the steep Tiger Leaping Gorge, the clean Lugu Lake, and the colorful and various customs of the minorities. The outside world is surprised by its ancient and simple sense of "identity of Heaven and Man", its profound and excellent culture, and the ancestors of the minorities who built a city without a wall on the beautiful land of Lijiang.
The December of 1997, World Heritage Committee registered it on World Heritage List, and then this city forgotten by gods was unveiled to the world with its oriental mystery and charm like a pearl hidden among the mountains.
