This year, we will celebrate the tenth anniversary of the ISUILS symposium series at the historical castle hotel, the Hotel auf der Wartburg in Eisenach, Germany, during October 16th -- 21st, 2011. We are pleased to inform you that Prof. Gérard Mourou (LOA, ENSTA, France) will kindly join us as the Honorary Co-chair of ISUILS10.

During the symposium, we will have ten sessions covering the wide areas of rapidly growing interdisciplinary research fields of ultrafast intense laser science. In each session, we will have one discussion leader and two invited speakers, and ample time will be allotted for discussion. We will also have a session for all the poster presenters to give a short oral presentation of their poster paper prior to the poster session. In addition, we will have presentations by the sponsor companies at two sponsors' sessions.

On behalf of the international organizing committee, we thank all the invited participants for having made the program so attractive and all the sponsor companies and organizations for their strong support.

We would like to draw the attention of students and young researchers to three Young Researcher Awards that will be presented at the meeting (http://www.isuils.jp/isuils10/award.html). We hope that senior colleagues will encourage youngsters to start regarding ISUILS as one of the important international meetings that is important for them to participate in.
